Getting a visa for a foreign country can seem very overwhelming. But let me be the first to tell you, its easy when it comes to Australia. All you need is the following:

• A valid passport
• $5,000 to prove you can support yourself and not going to be bumming it
• between the ages of 18-30
• no dependent children joining you
• enough balls to buy a one way ticket

It costs $450AUD to get a 462 visa and I got mine back within 2 days! I was shocked. Of course this is not the case with every person as it varies country to country. Some vaccinations are required for citizens of certain countries trying to get into Australia.. so be sure to look into your country specifically if you are outside the US. But as an American, it was a piece of cake.

The only time I was asked to show my visa was in Florida on my first leg of the trip. I had the email screen shot and it was completely fine. I was worried i needed a hard copy but fine with the email! I was not asked for my a after that.

I was also unaware that you needed a visa to even visit Australia. I had to extend this bit of info to my friends and family planning to make a visit across the pond.
